The final cover for the Penguin Design Award 2012 by Ken Kesey "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". In this cover I wanted to show the patiets of the mental hospital as hares, which try to escape from this " close" and "small" world crated by a tyranical nurse's rules.
Venue magazine cover competition for Shakespeare festival in Bath and Bristol. This is a few tamplates for my final covers. I generally focused on a feather as a symbol which reflects playwright's talent of Shakespeare. Of course I put a little bit more drama in the covers of images too, using a quite surreal compositions.
We get 1 word which had to be the basic idea of the story (my word was PRESENT) and quickly create ( about in 1hr) a short narrative. The story had include two inanimate objects as the main characters (a teapot and a cup and saucer). We should think how these could be shown to communicate meaning. I focused more on a visual language and a form variations which created quite abstract compositions. I chose a limited palet of colours in oder to express my idea of the narrative through tune of line and spot.
3D object workshop at uni. We get 3 words (2 adjectives and 1 noun) by which we had to create 3D object. I related it with the character of Rabbit of Lewis Carroll "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" . This book inspirated me very much for its crazy characters and the surreal space. The spining rabbit in the boiling kettle is a small interactive instaliation by this wonderful story.
